Eligibility:
Thank you for your interest in serving as an AFNet Country/State Coordinator.
Please review the following criteria before completing this application. Only applicants who meet these requirements will be considered.
Basic Eligibility
Must be a female, and 21 years or older.
Must reside in the country or state you wish to represent.
Must not already hold a Coordinator position in another AFNet chapter.
Must have reliable internet access and be reachable by email or WhatsApp.
Liberia and Zambia are currently ineligible for this role.
Professional & Leadership Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in community development, women’s empowerment, youth, or nonprofit work.
Demonstrated ability to organize programs, mobilize volunteers, and lead teams.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Basic digital literacy (able to use email, Google Forms, and social media).
Commitment & Representation
Must support AFNet’s mission to advance women’s leadership and social change.
Willing to serve a one-year volunteer term, renewable based on performance.
Attend virtual trainings and monthly meetings.
Lead with integrity, inclusion, and transparency.
Compensation & Incentives
This is a voluntary leadership position, not a staff or salaried role.
Coordinators may receive performance-based compensation from AFNet.
Compensation is based on the number of active members recruited, participation in HQ programs, and overall chapter activity.
Incentives may include stipends, recognition awards, or project support, depending on results and available resources.
Coordinators are expected to report membership data accurately and uphold AFNet’s financial transparency standards.

This year’s theme, “Well-being & Resilience: Prioritizing Women’s Mental and Physical Health,” highlights the urgent need to center wellness in the movement for gender equality and leadership.
The conference will bring together African women leaders, activists, professionals, and allies from across the globe to engage in powerful conversations, healing sessions, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities. Together, we’ll explore how mental and physical well-being can fuel transformative leadership and collective action.
